THE PEOPLE

THE KRUMBECKER HOF TRANSITION FARM IS A PLACE WHERE FARMERS, HEALERS, GARDENERS, ARTISTS, APPRENTICES, EDUCATORS, DREAMERS,… WANT TO SHARE THEIR EXPERIENCES WITH OTHER PEOPLE.

We see ourselves as a cosmopolitan living community, free of dogmas and integrated into the environment and the history of this place. A place where everyone can find and develop in harmony with themselves, with others and with nature. Each member of the community moves in its own way and on its own responsibility within the framework of the common goals and in the pursuit of spiritual freedom and solidarity with each other. Our responsibility also applies to the whole of creation. We are guided by the following values: trust, solidarity, liveliness, attentiveness and personal responsibility.

GERHARD MOSER

Founder and Initiator

As a farmer and sole tenant of the Stiftungsgut in 1991, he laid the foundation for the various entrepreneurial activities. Gerhard is the father of 3 adult children with 5 grandchildren. He is a visionary and entrepreneur, responsible for agriculture, horse keeping and renewable energy projects. In the evenings after work, he is out and about with his favourite horse Aragon between curtsies and fields, in the summer he goes sailing on the Baltic Sea and, if it fits, he also likes to travel around the world from time to time.

ISABELLE GIRALDO

Workshop coordinator

Isabelle is mother of 4 children, activist and former architect. She is very committed to education and training. She is trained as a mindfulness teacher and offers courses for children, adults, in school classes and as a teacher training seminar. NATALIE ADAMS & DENNIS WACHHOLZ

Passionate Market Gardeners

After we got to know each other over 4 years ago, it was our big dream to start a market gardening business.

In the course of 2018 we became interested in taking over the vegetable nursery of Hans Schohmacker at the Krumbecker Hof. During our apprenticeship years we got to know different market concepts. We find that in solidarity farming the needs of people, animals, plants and the soil are equally respected.

FLORIAN HAIST

Beekeeper

Since 2012, my people have been hidden on the sunny edges of the forest, hedges and under apple trees in the areas around the farm, carrying out their valuable pollination work within a radius of 3 km. I do beekeeping as a hobby. Therefore not the honey yield, but a beekeeping that is as close as possible to the bee’s nature is in the focus, from which humans and bees profit equally.

As a training company in agriculture, 1 to 2 apprentices and trainees learn and work here every year. All in all there are about 15 jobs at the Krumbecker Hof. In addition, families with children and other adults who are not employed on the farm live with us. At present 25 people live on the farm. For the remaining lease period we want to develop a concept to secure the continuation as an eco-farm – with the NaturKita and the other projects – beyond 2026.
